Samsung's Fanless Ativbook 9 Ultra Thin Laptop - Hands-on
Samsung has pre-announced the Ativ Book 9 2015 ahead of CES 2015. A Fanless & Ultra thin Laptop. It is one of the first laptop to pack an Intel Core M processor. The point of the Core M is to bid good riddance to that noisy fan, all while maintaining the level of performance and battery life expected from today's recent PCs.
You can see the lack of compromise in the ATIV's specs: It boasts a bright (350 nit), 12.2-inch display with an ultra-HD 2,560 x 1,600 resolution. The Core M is accompanied by an Intel HD 5300 graphics processor; the RAM is either 4GB or 8GB, with 128GB or 256GB of storage. Battery life is rated at 10.5 hours.
The Samsung ATIV Book 9 is coming in early 2015, starting at $1,199.99 with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and $1,399.99 for 8GB/256GB.
