Burning toothpick in microwave = Plasma balls
Put a toothpick in a cork so it stands vertical. Then light up the toothpick and make sure it burns well.
Then put the cork with the toothpick in it in a (old!) microwave.
The plasma balls are maintaining longer than you can see in this vid at the top of my microwave.
