CAN WE KEEP OUR GENERATOR OFF ALL WINTER?
People often assume that off grid life is a cheaper alternative to a more mainstream way of living, and most of the time we have found this to be true. However, last winter 17% of our electricity came from our generator and with the cost of fuel rising rapidly we can no longer afford to use our generator this much. This winter, we are going to try to cut our generator use down to 5% maximum. Join us on our journey as we try to manage our energy consumption and keep the generator off.
