In the third of Into Creative's video collaborations writer, George Paterson, is interviewed by Alistair Braidwood of Scots Whay Hae.
George is a writer, broadcaster and musician whose work has been featured in film as well as on the London stage. His first novel, ‘The Girl, The Crow, The Writer and The Fighter’, published by Into Books, was shortlisted as Bloody Scotland’s Best Debut in 2022. His second novel, Westerwick, set in Glasgow’s West End, and on the fictitious island of the title, is a claustrophobic tale of the macabre and the malevolent, serving as both an urban gothic satire and a record of modern devilry.
This series of interviews intends to take a deep dive to investigate the creative spark, circumstance and processes which bring to fruition the work of writers, musicians, actors, filmmakers and all kinds of creatives.
Westerwick can be purchased at all good bookshops or directly from the publisher's website...
