Iban throws a hose toward visitors.
Filmed in September 2024. Iban appears at the exhibit in the afternoon. He roams around the enclosure to ensure security before eating his meal. In the middle of the video, he picks up a rubber hose and climbs up a structure. He then throws it toward the visitors' area, surprising visitors. The same behavior is often displayed by a male chimpanzee named Santa at Chiba Zoo. It is common behavior among great apes. I hope you enjoy the video.
