Silver Plating in Brass Instrument Repair
Worn silver plating can be easily repaired either by tank plating or by brush plating. This video demonstrates silver plating a trumpet by brush plating and silver plating a trombone mouthpiece by tank plating. Both examples are carried out by electroplating with a standard rectifier and silver electrolyte solution.
