One Minute Documentary - Smoke and Mirrors
This short film was a result of a collaborative project for my Introduction to Media Practice 1 module in my Film, Television and Digital Production BA course at Royal Holloway University of London.
For this project, we had to work in pairs to create a one minute documentary which features a person confessing a secret, a true secret. The brief stated that:
1) The footage and audio must be recorded using a smartphone
2) Anything can be filmed except interview footage
3) There must be a pause/moment of silence
4) There must not be a continuous music track under the voice of the subject
This short film was created back in 2nd December 2021 and achieved a first class degree grade.
The audio was originally recorded directly by our subject, however, due recent/personal circumstances that we can’t disclose and in respect of our subject, we decided to have replacement audio recorded by a voice actor so that they may keep their anonymity.
