In this video, we're going to explore how to create a detailed roof design inspired by the Malaysian Academy of Han Studies using Grasshopper, starting only with points. This tutorial is a bit longer since we'll be building our script from the ground up. One of the challenges in working with complex Grasshopper scripts is avoiding the creation of a "spaghetti monster" - a term used to describe a tangled and disorganized script. To address this, we will utilize the Telepathy plugin, which helps in keeping our script organized and manageable, even as it grows in complexity.
Moreover, this tutorial will cover various techniques for sorting and trimming curves, skills that are not only relevant to this project but can also be applied to your everyday Grasshopper tasks.
