Beautiful gauge or speedometer chart that changes color wo VBA in Microsoft Excel
A gauge or speedometer chart can help to diversify the visualizations used in a report and draw attention. To make a gauge chart in Microsoft Excel that can change color without using Visual Basic for Applications five formulas are needed for slices of the gauge (doughnut series) and four more values for the pointer (pie series). The angle of the first slice of both doughnut and pie series has to be fixed at 270 degrees and the pointer pie series has to be placed on the secondary axis. The slices have to formatted with corresponding colors. Three slices of the pie series (pointer) and the last slice of the doughnut series have to be transparent or not filled to resemble a gauge or speedometer. As a last step add text boxes as labels and link them to cells with values to achieve a dynamic change.
