Once again, the reviews for this item on Amazon were pretty bad and unhappy but I was lucky enough to fortunately get what I wanted.
Warning: Not all five skeletons are included in this one item, despite the image on the box. Only one skeleton is included and it’s random. I made that mistake because I was under the impression that all five skeletons were included in this one item just for $15. And judging by the reviews on Amazon, I wasn’t the only one under that impression and made this mistake. We all judged a book by it’s cover, our mistake. Each fossil kit is $15 each.
Advice: If you want to purchase any of these fossil excavation kits, get the excavation kit that only includes one skeleton, not the one with the image of five creature skeletons on the box. Options are T-Rex, Triceratops, Mammoth, Stegosaurus, and Brachiosaurus. Whichever creature’s image is on the box is what’s included in the box, that way you know it’s not random and you know what you’re getting, depending on which one you want. The tools to excavate are suitable for digging and the pieces don’t break as easily but still be careful. Use water to soften the brick which will make it easier to excavate.
These fossil excavation kits are really fun and entertaining activities for people of all ages, especially for those who have a passion for paleontology and all things prehistoric.
