AE2 Quick Tip: Automation with Formation and Annihilation Planes (MC 1.7.10)
Let's say you mine everything with a silk enchanted pickaxe, you will get all non-metal ores in a different form that you need. Coal, Redstone, Diamond, etc. With this setup you can quickly and easily break them into a more useful form.
Depending on what mods you have installed, there might be better ways to handle coal, diamond, and so on. But this type of setup can still be good to remember for other scenarios.
