Two Vintage Philips Matchline TV Speaker Systems
Hi! These two refoamed subwoofers are came from "vintage" Philips Matchline CRT TVs. I just only say vintage, because both TVs were from 1993-94, i know its not that vintage, but at that time, there were just a few TVs that had a built-in subwoofer speaker. So, there are 2 subs: a 4-inch version, and a 5-inch version. Both subs uses the same fullranges as sats.
These subwoofers are really good subs, they are soft, so the bass hits hard, while being controlled. Also, the 4" one is a fullrange, it produces highs very well and clear, while the 5" just plays midbass only. But both woofers have the same issue, which is port noise. With satellites, you can't hear them so loud, but if you can, it can be very disturbing. That's beacause the width of the ports are very small on those subwoofers. Let's talk about the sats: They are looking quite cheap, but they sounds suprisingly good and clear.
