❤️Decluttering sentimental items can be extremely tough and bring up a lot of feelings 😭… So let me offer you some advice! ❤️
1️⃣When you inherit items from someone there often are a lot of them and you really cant use or display all of them…🏺
Try taking a photo of the items you don’t have room for/do not want to keep, and keep all the photos together in an album on your phone or computer. 🖥️
This way you can donate the item, but still be able look back at it and remember all the memories it held of the person or place.📷
2️⃣If you cant part with it, try offering the item to someone you love, like a family member or friend. 👭 Knowing that it's going to someone else who will enjoy and cherish it…. Will help you let go of it and find peace during this process. ❤️
3️⃣ Remember that is is OKAY to get rid of items, you should not feel guilty. ❌ Leaving items in storage boxes for years, unable to enjoy them is not doing YOU or the item any good.📦
❤️By donating the item, you know that someone else who actually needs it, will now be able to cherish and use it.. and the item can now serve its purpose again!❤️
4️⃣And if you aren’t ready to get rid of something, that is OKAY 👌…. Do not feel pressure to get rid of something just to gain space.🥹 You will know when the time is right and you’ll pass it on, when you’re ready! 👏🏻
