22 Building an efficient coding system: Building sub codes (ATLAS.ti Win 7)
in this video I describe how to build sub codes, if you have been collecting or lumping lots of quotations under one code label. This is indicated by a large groundedness count.
This does not mean that all high frequency codes need to be divided into sub codes -it always depends on the type of codes and their purpose. Looking forward to the upcoming version 8 of ATLAS.ti, we will get a code splitting tool. This will make the technical process a bit easier.
