Can a Tesla Handle Daily Life in the Midwest?
This Tesla can easily be charged in California or New York, but this is where I live. A very empty state in the Midwest.
My car was stolen off the streets of St. Louis recently, and Hertz hooked me up with a Tesla for the week. Are there enough chargers for this thing? Will I enjoy it as my sports car? I didn’t know if St. Louis could support daily driving a Tesla, but I wanted to find out.
I embarked on a journey to visit each supercharger in the area and hope that I wouldn’t run out of battery. My previous experiences with Teslas haven’t been the greatest, but I’m giving it a chance to change my mind. I'm relying strictly on the few Tesla superchargers in the St. Louis metro area. Stage one and stage two are not included.
My ultimate goal was to answer this one question: is it even worth renting or owning a Tesla in a Midwest city like St. Louis?
