Easy Minecraft Server | Ubuntu
In this tutorial, we'll walk you through the process of setting up a Minecraft server on Ubuntu, making it super easy for you to enjoy multiplayer Minecraft with your friends. In this video we use our Fasthosts' VPS platform to host the server, and while this is a recommended way to go, you should be able to follow this guide on any Ubuntu server.
Before we begin, you'll need:
A computer running Ubuntu (you can also use a VPS)
Stable internet connection
Installing Java:
apt install openjdk-17-jre-headless
Opening port 25565:
iptables -I INPUT -p tcp --dport 25565 ACCEPT
