How To Rob A Train In 1903
In this video, the old movie "The Great Train Robbery" from 1903 was very new and different. It was only 12 minutes long, but it started many things we still see in Western movies today. The story is about bad men who steal from a train.
First, the bad men make a man at the train station help them by threatening him with guns. They tie up the workers at the station. Then they wait for a train to come.
When the train stops, some of the bad men go to the engine and force the workers off at gunpoint. The other bad men break into the mail car. The worker in the mail car tries to shoot at them, but he gets hurt badly.
Next, the bad men go into the passenger cars and steal from the people on the train. They wave their guns around and scare the men, women, and children. The bad men take jewelry and money from the passengers.
Even though it was very short, this movie shocked people by showing so much violence and bad behavior. The way the cameras moved around and switched between scenes was also new. "The Great Train Robbery" started a new kind of exciting storytelling in movies.
