I think many $B fans can attest; this one got many of us our first taste of the boys, and we became fans from then on. The cello in this song is one of the nastiest leads I've ever heard in any trap beat, and I really think it could be done a lot more often (has anyone covered this on cello before?). This one took a couple days to nail. Not so much because of the original programmed part/emulating it, but because of the stick tricks and rolls I added in. In the end, I am proud of it.
The drum beat has tastefully isolated percussion, and I wanted to achieve those exact sounds on real drums, all in one take. If you want to know how I achieved this sound, post a comment on this video - I respond to all.
