FF13 = FF7... Exposing The Hate Behind Final Fantasy 13
After dissecting just about everything to do with Final Fantasy VII Remake, I had the sudden realisation that I had experienced everything from the story of the game and met its main characters before - but where?
Then it hit me! Final Fantasy 13 recycles many of the standout elements from a previous Final Fantasy instalment. This video presents the similarities between the two games, and also seeks to expose the reasons behind the deep and toxic hatred for FF13. Using some neat machine learning and natural language processing techniques, I test my hypothesis considering if sexism fuels the onslaught of negative reviews facing the game. My results are highly fascinating in the sense that they capture the true reason for the game's poor reception.
