Optimization - Reviewing System Files
It is important to know where program files are being saved by default and how to discern which folders contain malware, viruses, and trojans. Program Files, Program Files x86, and Program Data can all contain files that are essential for specific programs to run. Sometimes when uninstalling old software, there are files that still get left behind. These files can be cleared out along with anything that is suspicious or harmful to your computer. Remember to always research folders that seem suspicious prior to deleting it to confirm that it is okay to remove. Deleting system files can damage your OS.
