And so the Rain that fed the flowers
Turned its back
And the Great Flood destroyed them all
The Rain accepted no sacrifice
The Rain feared no war
By days the Earth was hidden,
By weeks the Earth was lost
The Rain never knew what it created
Nor what it destroyed
It cannot care, and so it forgot
In the end, all is forgotten
And our existence is only known to us
For the Rain in it’s ignorance, created something which could not ignore
Something which demands sacrifice and fears war
Something capable of nurture, respect, and awe
The colors of petals eventually fades
But while they last, they are brilliant
And so you will forget me
But for as long as you remember, it will be worthwhile
