The Connecticut Office of Inspector General has made public surveillance and body camera footage depicting the response of Bristol police officers to a woman who discharged her firearm inside the police station's lobby.

On the evening of October 5, 51-year-old Suzanne Laprise from Plainville entered the department's lobby at 131 North Main St., Bristol. Video footage unveiled on Tuesday reveals Laprise approaching the front desk windows and using her gun to strike them. She discharged several rounds at the windows, but the bullets were unable to penetrate the bullet-resistant glass.
