Who is John Butler Brown?
The Man: Father of 6 (3 girls/3 boys), adopted a Caucasian son totaling 7 children. He met his wife while singing at the famed Apollo theater in Harlem, New York City. He placed second that night but was first in the heart of Mildred Louise Harley, a Trinidadian raised in Manhattan. John Butler Brown was a simple country boy from South Carolina who moved to NYC to become famous. He was not NYC savvy. He played multiple instruments, to include saxophone, trumpet, piano, organ, drums, clarinet and of course had a voice of gold. He was a natural entertainer, handsome, funny, easy to love and had a love for all things natural. He used to take his family on trips to Bear Mountain in upstate new York. As his family grew, his career as a musician took back seat. He began preaching the gospel of Christ and pastored a Baptist church on Long Island New York. John Butler Brown loved his family, he loved women, he loved his drink...Did this do him in?
At 54, John Butler Brown died from kidney failure. Was he murdered by a member of his own family? Was he poisoned year after year until his kidneys failed?
