That last iceberg... Gah!
It's actually possible to skip the end cutscene before it starts right at that particular iceberg, which is what I would do in a full run.
I might be lingering a bit too long in the air here and there, but most of the time it's worth it to get more than the minimum height needed to sonic boom and level out on this stage. Waiting for the extra height lets me build a cushion for getting extremely aggressive with the wave bouncing.
