Dealing with Reef Tank Adversity and Winning.
During this exciting show we'll talk with David B. of O2MANYFISH. David has built some of the most amazing tanks over several hundred gallons. This includes an amazing outdoor coral system where he has bred several rare strains of fish and exotic corals which have gone to Reefers across the country. Dave started the wholesale division of Unique Corals in 2014 and has bred hundreds of fish and farmed coral.
The Reefing Collective will talk with David about the builds of extremely unique outdoor reef systems, addressing equipment, set up and failures while dealing with weather and the very unique needs of these super systems,
David was born with a fish tank in his room. He has kept and raised some of the original Jack Watley discus that were gifts from him. He's also built custom lighting controllers modifying sprinkler timers to be able to simulate dawn to dusk and moon light. His 125 gallon tank was soon the baby brother to a 300g fish only peninsula tank. Then a 360 gallon which led to consultation on many other large custom tank installations. David started building outdoor ‘experimental tanks.’ in the mid 2000’s. and worked many companies designing and beta testing 100’s of aquarium products
In 2017 his wife pushed him to build the experimental outdoor frag tanks and set them up properly. David remodeled his house to install a 800+ g peninsular tank in the center of their house.
David was diagnosed with dementia in late 2018 which has slowed down many of his projects. He's still planning his 800g tank while noticing a failed seam on the front panel of his 400g tank
Get your questions ready because David is a wealth of information on reef keeping fish health and breading as well as system installation and set up. You won't want to miss this show. The tanks views are spectacular.
