When you think of classic Italian bread, a soft, fluffy loaf probably floats to mind. This flatbread is what I use to make for years to serve a variety of sandwiches in my previous restaurant, Piattino, in Portland, Oregon.
It has the perfect texture for salami or any other sandwich, but it also tastes fantastic when slathered with butter and enjoyed as a snack. This homemade bread is easy to pull off, too: Try starting with our recipe;
1 lb. 6 oz water
½ oz yeast
½ oz sugar
2 lbs. flour
¾ oz salt
2 oz sourdough mixes
½ fl. oz olive oil
