The Navy Band - The Silence Men (Shayetet's anthem) + video clip | RARE!
Words: Yoram Teharlev
Music: Yair Rosenblum
Lyrics:
The frog men, the silence men
The noise makes a hole in our ears
If we hear a muss nearby
We descend to the underwater
And immediately jump to the nearest harbor
Even if it is the case in Egypt.
The frog men, the silence men
No one saw, no one heard
No one noticed sounds of war
Did the silence men were here?
We are very proponents of the Bible
Jonah the prophet is our mascot
He as well gone for two or three days
Where he was - no body knows
And as in the Bible, if we need to strike
We open this with frog and blood.
The frog men, the silence men ...
And another day we'll scratch our beard
As we scraped the old destroyer
And still can not tell
Maybe we will tell our grandchildren in vibration
Cause we're having a long breath
Therefore, we went to this 'fleet'.
The frog men, the silence men ...
(wasn't easy to translate..)
Ahh! great nostalgy! brings up strong Zionism feeling. The macho Navy commandos Shayetet 13 warriors who came from the Kibbutzim were the youth pride of the country in the late 70's.
