The deadlift is an exercise that allows you to develop physical strength and increase muscle mass throughout the body. Most muscle groups are involved in the deadlift: the glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings, back muscles, biceps brachii, etc.
This exercise, in one form or another, with varying techniques, is typical for training in all strength sports, martial arts, track and field, bodybuilding, CrossFit, etc.
The deadlift occupies a special place in powerlifting. After all, it's the deadlift that often decides the outcome of competitions and the distribution of prize places.
Today, Borodach will explain and demonstrate the technique for performing it in two ways: classical and sumo style.
Both styles have their advantages and disadvantages. In his competitive powerlifting career, Borodach used the sumo style, and in CrossFit, he used the classical style. The techniques for performing them are critically different.
