The StewMac Optivisor Mod
A fun DIY mod, adding an extra set of lights and lenses to a Optivisor headband magnifier. I'm a big fan of Stewart MacDonald's products and Dan Erlewine's great videos for them. Following Dan's lead , I've been using an Optivisor for a while now and I really wanted to do the mod to attach two sets of lenses to one headset (the stock 2X lenses and some 1.5X lenses, together with Quasar LS lights, all from Stew-Mac).
In the video that inspired this, Dan used some spare binding to attach the two lenses. I tried to DIY something with old plastic lying around the workshop, but in the end made a better solution with some thin wood strips from Tokyu Hands store here in Tokyo.
