Super Mario Sunshine a platform video game that came out in 2002 and developed by Nintendo entertainment, was published for the nintendo GameCube. It was first released in Japan in July, 2002,, and was eventually released in North America, Australia, and Europe. It is the second Super Mario 3D platformer in the series overall, the follow up to Super Mario 64 in 1996.
The Game takes place at the tropical paradise Isle Delfino, where, Mario, Princess Peach, Toadsworth, and five Toads are taking a vacation. Than a villain resembling Mario, also known as Shadow Mario vandalizes the island with graffiti, being Marios look alike, Mario gets blamed for the mess. Mario is than ordered to clean up Isle Delfino, using a device called F.l.u.d.d. (Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device) while at the same time trying to save Princess Peach from Shadow Mario.
Super Mario Sunshine received critical acclaim, with reviewers praising the game’s Graphics (that still hold up, in my opinion ), moveset and the addition of FLUDD as a mechanic, granted some critics criticized the game’s camera control (as you can see we we’re not working with the best), the game however still sold 5.5 million copies, a commercial success.the game was re-released as a Player’s Choice title in 2003.
