Memory unit is a term used to describe memory. (There will always be a unit to measure something)
Bit
Bit stands for Binary Digit. It is the smallest unit of data that can be stored by a computer. Each bit is represented by binary number 0 and1.
Nibble
A nibble is four bits or half of a byte. For example, the decimal value of 10 in an 8-bit byte is 00001010 that same value in a 4-bit nibble is 1010. It is also called nyble or nibble.
Byte
A byte contains 8 bits. A single keyboard character that you type such as the letter A or symbol π takes up one bit of storage.
