Want to see the whole clip? Check it out!:    • Seemingly SMALL Feature Makes HUGE Di...

In this video, we're going to look at a new feature added to Final Cut Pro 10.7 that allows you to collapse any number of connected clips into a neat and tidy connected storyline. This is a great way to reduce visual clutter and organize everything in your timeline more clearly.

The new feature is easy to use and simply requires you to select all the connected clips and right-click on any one of them. A new keyboard shortcut for the collapsing feature is also available. And now you can collapse a gap clip to the primary storyline, and Final Cut will intelligently recognize if something below a gap clip is and should be visible and keep it that way.

There are new mappable shortcuts for both this and the new auto-scrolling timeline features!

Here are some of the benefits:

• Reduced visual clutter: Your timeline will look cleaner and more organized, making it easier to navigate and find the clips you need.
• Improved editing efficiency: You can collapse multiple clips into a single storyline, which can save you time when editing.
• Enhanced workflow: This feature can streamline your editing process by making it easier to organize and manage your clips.
• Simplified editing experience: This feature can make editing more intuitive and straightforward, especially for new users.
• Timesaving shortcut: The new keyboard shortcut for collapsing connected clips can save you time and effort.
• Customizable keyboard shortcuts: You can customize the keyboard shortcuts for both new features to make them even more convenient to use.
• Gap clip optimization: This feature can help you to optimize your use of gap clips by removing them from the timeline when they are no longer needed.
• Improved clarity: This feature can help you to improve the clarity of your timeline by making it easier to see what's going on.
• Easier navigation: This feature can make it easier to navigate your timeline by making it easier to see what's going on.
• Simplified editing process: This feature can simplify the editing process by making it easier to organize and manage your clips.

Overall, this new feature is a great addition to Final Cut Pro 10.7. It can help you to reduce visual clutter, improve editing efficiency, and simplify your workflow. I encourage you to try it out and see for yourself how it can benefit your editing!
