This week on ‘In The Closet’ we chat with Perth based thrift stylist, blogger, and Editor of Circular Style magazine, Julie Leslie, and take a look through her beautiful wardrobe!In 2008, Julie began her preloved journey after discovering it was easier on the pocket. By 2016 she was exclusively purchasing second-hand clothes and accessories, only purchasing undergarments and some shoes brand new.
Julie has partnered with her local Salvation Army in Greenwood, Perth, to do preloved styling called “Saturday Sift” in which she edits and styles outfits for a more streamlined second-hand shopping experience. Julie posts the outfits to her Instagram story via @mythriftshift each Saturday and local shoppers can go in-store to purchase.
Julie also runs a preloved styling tour called @shopportunityknocksperth where she takes groups of shoppers to local consignment stores and teaches them how to style and shop preloved.
