Hello, fellow gardeners! Join me as I demonstrate the ease of Winter Sowing, a budget-friendly way to jumpstart your garden. I garden in Toronto, Canada (Zone 6), and I use this technique to produce more plants for my garden when it's time to plant after my last frost date. I repurposed plastic milk /juice jugs by planting the seeds in them—Leave them outside during the winter months. This process exposes seeds to cold temperatures and moisture, enhancing germination rates. The plants grow on in the jugs just as they would in the ground in the garden. 
By adopting Winter Sowing, you can get a head start on the growing season, allowing plants to be transplanted outdoors as soon as spring arrives. This eco-friendly approach is perfect for growing a variety of plants, including flowers, herbs, and vegetables. I’ll guide you through each step and share my top tips for a successful Winter Sowing season.
