In my last video ( • I Assemble & Configure a Pi1541 for a Comm... ), I shared my experience with the assembly and first use of a Commodore4Ever Pi1541 for the Raspberry Pi Zero. At that point in time, I was just happy to have the device operational, but as I was preparing for my next Commodore Plus/4 episode, I needed my own "blank disk" to save files and application data. Just how do you create a blank disk on a Pi1541? Turns out you don't. You do this on the computer and transfer it. So here's the process I used.
