Basic hockey Concepts Program is the beginning phase of our 3 year development program where we lay the foundation for understanding the game and what each players job or role is.
The importance of learning how to play not just as an individual but as member of a small group(defence pair or line of 3 forwards), a block(defencemen and forwards) can not be under estimated in today's fast paced game.
The old school ideas of defencemen and forwards or left wing vs. right wing become blurred and players need to know what their job is in all situations, all over the ice.
These concepts remain the same in every situation that players face on the ice. From Shadowing to 3rd Man High, here are basic concepts that are seen in every situation where we work together to get the puck back. In the OZ, NZ, or DZ the concepts stay the same. This allows the players to understand how they and their team mates can synchronize their efforts to be more effective.
