How I Use VocalShifter for YTPMV

This is typically how I make my samples. This vid doesn't go into eq, crossfading or percs but I don't have much foundational knowledge about those topics anyways. This is the workflow that I've come up with and it works for me but of course, I'm open to feedback.
Vocalshifter isn't always perfect with fine-tuning but I like being able to draw automation and place stretch markers onto the clip itself which is why I sometimes prefer this software over melodyne.
FAQ:
Q: I get an error saying "Vegas Pro is currently using the media files(s) so they cannot be closed..." after I hit Open Copy in Audio Editor. Why?
A: Vegas gets confused sometimes and doesn't know what order to do things in. I just hit Ctrl+E and it works for me. If it still pops up, check to see if other programs are using it. Q: Why is all the text in Japanese unicode? A: The default language for Vocalshifter is Japanese. You can set it to English by going into Options which the second to last item labelled flfvƒVƒ‡ƒ"(0), clicking Settings which is labelled as Ý'è(S), set the language to English and restart the program.
Q: Sometimes when I play my samp in vocalshifter, why does it play at half speed with glitchy artifacts?
A: Make sure you set your clip's audio channels to Both. If you've set it to Left, Right or Combine then Vocalshifter will play it at the wrong sample rate (I think that's the term). If you really need to solo a channel, do it after exporting from vocalshifter.
Q: What is WORLD pitching?
A: idk. I'm guessing it's maybe for vocaloid stuff because it'll turn any breathy texture into noise for some reason. I wouldn't recommend this for sentence pitching.
Q: How do I tune a sentence?
A: This is where melodyne shines in terms of efficiency. You can just snap the notes to the scale and bob's your uncle. I remember for my hereditary vid, I set the pitch to a single note and then dragged the pitch of every syllable to the original note which took half an hour longer than it should've. I'm open to advice here. You can select auto-correction or kerokero voice in the Pitch tab but the pitch might switch rapidly between multiple notes which you'll have to clean up anyways. You can set the pitch for the whole sentence to be one note although this will distort the formant of the words that are furthest away from their original pitch. Once you add monophonic pitch shifting, stretching and other instruments to the mix, it gets harder to understand the sentence.
Q: Tuning and stretching samples is bad and I'm so disappointed in you.
A: ik :) but I don't stretch over 1.5x. I usually do this to make crossfading easier. I use raw samps a fair bit if that makes you happy.
