I couldn't find a video on this so I installed UE5 to test out how the rescaler looks. Gotta say I'm quite impressed. I wouldn't mind running a game with 50% scaling if it gets upscaled this well to native.


Not sure if you can tell by this short unedited video, but:
if you're not moving the picture is pretty much identical to 100% scale
If you're moving, it's a little softer, but still pretty good looking.
If you shake the mouse violently you can make the low native res show it's ugly face, but it's actually pretty hard to do this and it fixed itself almost instantly when you stop flailing around. Shouldn't be an issue on LCD screens and their terrible motion resolution.


Frame rates seem to cap at 60 when looking at a lot of nanite scenery. I'm guessing there's a lot of load management that increases lod when performance is available.


Someone who cares to edit videos, please do a better analysis on this.
