Sounds Current: Angel island (announcement about audio trailer)
Del Sol Quartet's violist Charlton Lee announces the audio trailer for podcast Sounds Current: Angel Island. Sounds Current is now an official selection of the Tribeca Festival in the non-fiction independent audio storytelling portion. The first season will feature four episodes that trace the development of Del Sol Quartet's Angel Island Project. It features interviews and stories from the community of people who joined us to tell this vital piece of US immigration history through the powerful music of composer Huang Ruo. Meet Genny Lim, activist poet and who first translated the Angel Island poetry into English, Casey Dexter Lee, state park interpreter at Angel Island, Andi Wong artist and descendant of immigrants who were interned at the Angel Island Detention Barracks.
