Venus is the second planet from the sun, the hottest planet. It is a rocky planet
Distance : Venus is about 108 million in distance from sun.
Size : It is similar in size and structure to earth has radius of 6052 km.
Orbit: It completes orbit around the sun in 225 days with an average speed of 35 km/sec. Its orbit around sun is most circular nearly a perfect circle with tilt of just 3 degrees in axial. It spins nearly upright. so does not experience noticeable seasons
Rotation: Venus is one of just two planets that rotate from east to west. Only Venus and Uranus have this backward Rotation. Completes one rotation in 243 earth days. This is longest day of any planet in our solar system and even longer than a whole year on Venus. But sun doesn't rise and set each day. One day & night cycle takes 117 earth days because Venus rotates in opposite direction to its revolution.
Surface : Venus has mountains, valleys and thousands of volcanos. At its surface rocks are in different shades of grey like on earth but the thick atmosphere filters sunlight. So everything would look orange if you stand on Venus.
Atmosphere : Venus atmosphere mainly consists of carbon dioxide with clouds of sulfuric acid droplets. The thick atmosphere traps the sun heat which results 470°c of surface temperature.
Life : Venus extreme temperature & acidic clouds make it an unlike place for life.

From space Venus is bright white because it is covered with clouds that reflect and scatter sunlight. Venus is brightest after sun & moon in solar system.
