Richard Dawkins—the famous atheist and lifelong skeptic who built his reputation warning people not to fall for comforting illusions—now says Anthropic’s Claude AI may actually be conscious.
After spending days chatting with the bot he renamed “Claudia,” Dawkins became emotionally attached enough to describe the experience like a friendship.
