What began as a routine protest in Atlanta quickly spiraled into something far more terrifying. I was part of the riot control line, until the crowd started collapsing, and then rising again. When I woke up, locked inside an abandoned ambulance, the city was gone… and the infected were everywhere. This is my account of the day the outbreak began, how the line broke, how the system failed, and how I walked through the ruins of Atlanta with only my instincts and a sidearm.
