After an unexpected signal loss manifested itself as a very annoying "No Signal" message on my TV screen, I had to troubleshoot and find a solution to repair it. In short, diagnosis is based on the ability to detect a short circuit and continuity in a circuit using a multimeter. Discover the household aluminum foil trick to achieve this. As for the repair, both tips are DIY projects that allow you to connect a 1960s coaxial cable (small diameter and multi-strand core) to newer equipment with a larger diameter and requiring a rigid cable core.
