Baja Break-In Highlights
The new OBR engine requires a break-in run time of 10 tanks of fuel. Today's outing got us to 50-60% throttle. The max cyl temp recommended is 240F (averaged 220F near the exhaust port area). Experienced an idle screw to plate defect issue that needed MacGyering at the start of the run. Did not install the shell for this outing for max cyl head cooling airflow. 15 min. run times, with 20 min. cool down periods were used throughout the day. Frequent monitoring of cyl temps with an IR heat temp gun was strictly adhered to, as recommended by the engine manufacturer. These are today's best highlights (so far.. )
