Whole Aloe Vera Soap DIY With Plastic Mould
This is a simple DIY soap making video using plastic mould.
Here I used whole Aloe Vera (skin, gel & all).
I also used coconut oil, vegetable oil, Shea butter and cocoa butter.
I used tumeric powder and activated charcoal as colourants.
I used tea tree essential oil and lemon essential oil.
I used refrigerated Aloe Vera because when you mix lye and water, the mixture gets really hot. With the refrigerated Aloe Vera, it still gets hot but it is better. The lye turned it brown.
Wear proper protection when mixing lye. It burns the skin and can cause blindness if it gets into the eyes.
After pouring the mixture into the mould, leave it for 24hours before removing it from the mould and cutting.
Allow the soap to cure for 4 weeks before using. Curing makes sure the lye is completely gone from the soap.
