Hey there everyone and welcome to my newest video, and the newest review in my ever growing list!
Senua's Sacrifice is a game that I've been wanting to play since it's release, and I was very excited once I got my hands onto it!
As a quick summary of my thoughts:
Graphics are stunning for the most part, especially with the facial mo-cap, and general animations. However clipping of models and some less-than-great textures, along with static sky-boxes tend to ruin the otherwise terrific aesthetic.
Sound work is fantastic across the board, the voice acting in particular is the strongest offering I've enjoyed in a long time, with 95% of the main cast being flawless in delivery. Music is great, but there's not really enough of it in my honest opinion, especially for such an atmospheric game. Environmental sound is again fantastic, with particularly good attention paid to transitional sound, post-processing and also directional audio and the feedback that comes with it.
Gameplay is good, with very satisfying and rewarding combat. Puzzling is imaginative, but runs VERY close to getting repetitive about half way through, thankfully the game chooses that moment to switch things up. The slower walking sections aren't wasted by Ninja Theory, with constant injections of story and general lore of the universe.
Overall a great title, I personally vouch that there is something here for everyone to enjoy!
