Let's take it as a more techniques on top of what I've covered in the past for tmux.

1. Configuration
active color for pane
splitting window both in horizontal and vertical direction key bindings with pre-configured working directory
2. Switching Layout
Rotate the panes counter-clockwise with [prefix] + ctrl+o
Split evenly horizontally or vertically with [prefix] + alt 1/2
Restore to the previous layout with :select-layout -o
3. Close current window
[prefix] + &
4. Move current window to target tmux session
[prefix] + . then enter the name of target tmux session to move to
