Windows XP On Toshiba Satellite
Having been very frustrated that my laptop, with 1gb of ram and 1.7 ghz cpu would come with windows vista home premium. i decided to downgrade to Windows Xp MCE 2005, and was very disappointed to find that the Toshiba website does not offer the appropriate drivers (sound vid. wireless) compatible with windows xp!! but, after first going to the iNtel website, and downloading the chipset driver i needed, i was able to use the usb ports on my laptop and the graphics were at normal resolution. its a start! =]
after doing ALOT of google searching, i found the driver for the sound card. and even the Atheros Wireless adapter which i found strangely enough on Download dot com.
this is just to show that it is possible to get windows xp fully functional on a Toshiba Satellite. =]
