Doug Johnson shows us how he creates and maintains the "patina" on his 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle wagon he calls The Thunder Wagon. This 1100 horsepower station wagon has a unique look that others pay thousands of dollars to create on their own cars. Doug uses a strange mix of scuffing the entire car with a scuff pad and mineral spirits then he buffs the entire car rust and all with a high speed buffer. He then uses Gibbs Brand oil to wipe down the entire car to give it the illusion of a rusty car that has been "clear coated"
