I've been trying to film a sketching video on the marsh close by me that is known as the ships graveyard, this landscape really inspires me and I use elements from the location in a lot of my work, particularly the monoprint series. It is a very difficult place to reach and at times it's much too waterlogged to walk to, the tide covers the area twice a day.
For this video I've included some film of the location so you might sample the atmosphere, it's a very isolated place and my dog Buzz loves to walk here. When the conditions are more ideal and the marsh is once again accessible I will return to film some sketching demos, it would be a great place for some large charcoal drawings. Hope you enjoy these landscapes and they might inspire you to find a similar location near you.
The videos will now be every Monday and Thursday, they will premier at 3pm (GMT)
Most of the artwork shown will be available to buy from my website at the end of each month.

Materials:
270gsm smooth card.
Oil paint colours Yellow Ochre, Prussian Blue and Vandyke Brown.
thin plastic sheets for paint transfer, cocktail stick, blunt pencil, newspaper. Cardboard mount.
This does get messy so I really recommend wearing gloves if you can.
